South Australian legal centres provide free legal information to assist you in understanding and protecting your legal rights. They provide confidential advice aimed at assisting people in making informed choices and decisions about the options available to them. Within the legal system, they also perform important roles in court representation, advocacy, law reform, test case litigation, referrals and community legal education. Adelaide Inner Northern Community Legal Service PO Box 962 Free legal information, advice, representation and referrals in most areas of law. Financial counselling. An evening legal advice service is also available. Children's and Youth Legal Service of South Australia PO Box 962 A children's and youth legal advice service offering legal advice, assistance, representation and referral on legal and non-legal matters to children and young people under 18 in South Australia. Noarlunga Community Legal Service 40 Beach Road Christies Beach Legal services provided offering advice, casework and court representation in selected criminal, family and civil law matters. In addition, a specialist Child Support Service is provided to both carer and liable parents. Neighbourhood mediation and financial counselling services are also available. Para Districts Community Legal Service PO Box 697 Generalist service responding to individual needs. Sewrvice also runs a financial counselling program. Parks Legal Service PO Box 2349 Specialising in child support/maintenance (custodial and non-custodial) issues and a Civil Litigation Advocacy Project. Riverland Community Legal Service Inc PO Box 781 Community managed generalist service providing legal information, advice, advocacy, education and law reform to the Riverland region of South Australia. Roma Mitchell Community Legal Centre PO Box 4018 A community managed volunteer centre providing free evening legal advice in criminal, family and civil law at 110 The Parade, Noorwood. The centre also runs reconciliation in the the community and human rights advocacy information and community education events. South East Community Legal Service 9 Penola Road This service will be operating from November 2000. Spencer Gulf Community Legal Service 60 Florence Street Legal advice, information and representation in criminal, family and civil law to the community in the upper Spencer Gulf area. The service also provides the Duty Solicitor to Port Pirie and Peterborough Courts. Mediation services are provided, as is help with environmental issues and community legal education. Access to a number of related services are available from the Port Pirie Central Mission Co located with us. |
